A recent detailed analysis by EV Society has revealed that 65 percent of electric vehicles in Ontario are affordable and mid-priced models designed to appeal to the mass market. These are vehicles that cost between $27,650 and $54,699.
The June 2018 data shows that only 23 percent of EVs in Ontario are “luxury” models priced at $75,000 or higher.
The findings lay rest to the claim that electric vehicles are for the rich and highlight that there is significant public demand for the broad range of affordable vehicles increasingly provided by auto manufacturers.
