Survey Results

We wish to thank all of the EVS members and affiliates who took the time earlier this year to complete a sponsored on-line survey.  You will recall that EV Society did not author the questions however we still found some of information gathered of interest.

The results were tabulated and are available to EVS members HERE.

We kindly ask that you not share this link with anyone outside the organization who did not participate in the survey. We’re committed to serving our members, and the survey is intended to support organizations and Government to better understand and accommodate EV owners such as yourselves.

EV Society at Drive Festival 2022

EV Society had a great time at Drive Festival last weekend at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park! We had a fantastic group of 25 volunteers over the three days, bringing with them their personal vehicles and positive attitudes to help answer the many, many questions festival goers had about electric vehicles. We answered many of the usual questions about range, cost, and maintenance and corrected common misconceptions such as battery longevity and recyclability. Over the three days, EV Society volunteers interacted with easily over a thousand visitors!

EV Society would like to sincerely thank our volunteers for their time, energy, and dedication. Our participation would not have been possible without dedicated volunteers.

We'd also like to thank our sponsors for the event, Electric Vehicle Network for providing the volunteer shirts, OK Tire Etobicoke and Toyo Tires for providing the tent, and Ontario Tech University for giving us the space to participate.

PAST EVENT: Calgary & Edmonton Car Care events

The Electric Vehicle Association of Alberta - EVAA was invited by the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) to exhibit at their Calgary & Edmonton Car Care events.

Held on Sunday September 11th & Sunday September 18th.

Weather was GLORIOUS and the events were well attended & extremely well organized.  Many AMA members had never seen an electric car up so close before.

There is an exciting development with the AMA! Electric vehicles will imminently be deployed as part of their driver education program! New Alberta drivers behind the wheel on a  EV from the get go! Getting people to experience the heightened experience of driving an electric car is a valuable contribution to supporting EV adoption.

AMA driving education managers joined us in our exhibit sharing information with their members and listening in on conversations gaining valuable information to share with their learner drivers.
